I would have dinner with Abraham Lincoln because I think he was a great president, and did wonderful things for the people. I would also want to have dinner with Will Smith, because I think he's one of the best actors in Hollywood, and one with a great personality and morals (as far as I can tell), I look up to him a lot.
The third person I would want to have dinner with is George Washington. His contributions to the American government was indelible. His reputation and moral values were well respectedd even before he became president. I feel like these three people would be very interesting to get to know on a personal level.

  3. I think that if i could have dinner with three famous americans they would have to be Barrack Obama, Donovan McNabb, and Brian Dawkins. I would love to meet Obama because he seems like a great guy and I would love to talk to him about what its like being the president. Meeting Donovan Mcnabb would be great too because he is my favorite nfl quarterback and he plays on my favorite team and i would love to talk to him about what the nfl is like. Finally i think it would be great to meet Brian dawkins because he played on my favorite nfl team and he was really good and he always had inspirational things to say to his team and i think it would just be great to meet him because he is my favorite nfl player hands down.

    A) If I could have dinner with three famous Americans, I would choose Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr, and Barack Obama. Ever since I did a project on Eleanor Roosevelt in 4th grade, I was always fascinated with her. She was not a typical first lady; instead, she was active in the politics of the country and the world, playing a large role in the United Nations. I believe Martin Luther King Jr. would be good dinner company because he had so many ideas of how to organize large groups of people in a peaceful way. He was very accomplished in resisting societal practices that were grossly unfair in the United States and in the world, with his work in South Africa. I think it would be interesting to here what he has to say. Finally, I would really like to meet our current president because he is the main person in our country who has to deal with the financial situation that we are in, and also pass a healthcare plan, both of which are highly debated topics.

  5. If I could pick any time in American History to go back to, it would definitely be pre-colonization by Europeans. The Native american lifestyle is really awesome, just a "wake up each day and prepare for what the seasons may bring" attitude. I'd find that to be incredibly refreshing, I think, and a welcome chance from the hustle of everyday 21st century life. In addition, I could introduce some simple technologies to them which would be fun.

  7. b) If I could go back to any time period in American history I would want to go to the Roaring Twenties. I would want to go to this time period because it seemed to be a great time for American culture. I think I would enjoy the atmosphere of this time period. This was a time when people were worry free, it's unfortunate that they didn't know the troubles that were coming their. America was in a strong place at this point. All in all I think it would be fun to see America during the twenties and would love to go back to that time.

  8. I would choose to be born in 1967. Being born in 1967 lets you experience all the later decades of the 1900s, which I find very interesting. 1967, your born and you get to see the late 60s. Your childhood is spent growing up in the 70s, an age that I have always found very entertaining. You are in highschool and college throughout the 80s, so you get the full 80s experience; clothes, music, everything. You graduate high school in 1985, and are off to college. Your still young enough to see and understand the young age 90s. In the 2000s you get to understand and experience the millenium. Also, growing up in this time period lets you watch the growth of techonolgoy and appreciate it, since you werent always surrounded by such high tech machines. The past 40 decades have been so different, it would be so awesome to watch and be a part of all the fads and see the changes in fashion, music, politics, and so much more.

A.) If you could have dinner with three famous Americans, I would defiantely choose Barack Obama, Martian Luther King Jr., and Abraham Lincoln. These three people are very influencial people to me. They had helped a lot of these racism that we have. Racism was probably one of the biggest issues back in the day. And Abraham Lincoln and Martian Luther King Jr. had done a lot to help get rid of rasicm. They did a great job, even though rasicm is still around today. But its not as strong as it used to be. Barack Obama has changed our history now. He's our first black president. Some people didn't vote for him to be president just cause he was black. No those people choose him over John McCain because they know that he was the better choice than John McCain. if we would had choose him I think we would had another four years of another George Bush running the country. I'm so glad that Barack is our president. I know for sure that he will do a great job.

  10. B. If I could go back to any time period i would chose to go back to the civil rights movement. I have a hard time believing all the events that took place. Between the oppression and unhumane treatment givin to "colored" people during this time i find it strange to think that the dominating white people wrote down all the occurences. Such as cops beating down black groups. Although its not the most peaceful or pleasant time in american history it is definately the most moving time period any american has ever seen.

  11. If I could invite three famous Americans to have dinner with, I would invite Dwyane Wade, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James. I would invite these people because all of them are basketball players who I look up to. Dwyane Wade is my favorite basketball player, and he got me to start playing basketball. I would love to invite him over for dinner just to talk with him and be able to play him in basketball after dinner. I would invite Michael Jordan too because basketball is my favorite sport, and he's probably the greatest of all time to play the sport of basketball. It would be an honor having dinner with a guy like that. I'd also like to have LeBron James over too. He's my second favorite basketball player next to Dwyane Wade, and I would want to get his autograph. Just being able to talk to them for a little bit is enough reason for me to want to invite these three over for dinner. Another reason that I would want to invite them over for dinner would be to ask them for advice and how they achieved where they are at today. Lastly, if I invited the three of them over for dinner, I'd make sure to get them to sign mostly everything in my house.

  12. If I could go back in time, I would go back to the revolutionary period. The revolutionary period seems to be the most lively period in our country’s history. To me, the most influential people in America’s history lived during this time, and it would be amazing to meet them or even just see them in action. I wouldn’t mind seeing the battles first hand either. Although the conditions during this period are horrible, the strategies and advances in this period are quite astonishing and inspirational so I think it would be a great experience.

I would eat dinner with Obama, seeing as he is the current president he has the most control in our present and future policies. I would like to hear about america's plans. I would also like to have dinner with General Patton, he was a major millitary figure during WWII, and would probably have tons of cool war stories. I would also eat dinner with John. F. Kenedy. He was alive for many great american events. I would also like to learn about the possible conspiracies about some secret millitary projects that were said to have existed and learn about the start of our major space program.

If I could live in any time period I would live in the 1980s. The 1980s had awesome techno music, and it would be really cool to go to all the dance parties that started coming out during the mid 1980s in Detroit, Michigan. While a lot of the music scene was still budding the hip hop and puck scenes were also gaining recognition. It would also be really cool to go to a glam metal concerts that dominated during that time. Basically I like 1980s music and think it would be awesome to all to all the discos

  15. I would go back in time to 1942. So i could fight in in WW2 and kill natzis like Brad Pitt. No, but seriously I would like to go back in time to the 60's to hang out with the hippies in San Francisco. The people then were all about peace and love. They were all a lot nicer and they had better philosophies about life. Also, they had a lot of GREAT music from bands that don't tour anymore nowadays. This was also before inflation, so i could get hamburgers for a quarter like my grandpa always tell me about

  17. I would choose to have dinner with Pocahontas, Martin Luther King Jr., and Oprah.
Firstly, without Pocahontas, there might never be peace between the Native Americans and the Europeans, and she is my favorite disney princess. Also, Dr. King is no doubt one of the most prominent leaders in the American civil movement. If it wasn't for him, we might not enjoy the equality we have today. Lastly, Oprah's road to success has been a great inspiration for me to achieve my goals.

  18. a.) If I had the chance to have dinner with three famous people they would be: Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Coach Michael Kryzewski. One thing all these famous basketball players have in common is being successful, infact all of them are in the Hall of Fame. Something I would do is ask what were some struggles they went through to get to their goal and how hard they had to work just to get there. I would ask Coach Kryzewski about his experience coaching the USA basketball team and winning Gold in the olympics. I would probably ask Michael Jordan why he kept going and pushing to make his high school basketball team. I would also ask Jordan about his work ethic, how he continued to work hard and kept his drive his entire carrer. I would ask Kobe Bryant why he didnt stay in Italy and play soccer. I would also ask him what his motivation was to push his team so hard to win a championship. I would ask Kobe what his expectations are of his team this year.

  19. If i were to go back in time, i would go to the 70's or the 80's. Anything before that would mean i would be in the middle of civil rights acts or wars. As a women, 100+ years ago i wouldn't have any rights as a citizen. I've always liked 70's and 80's rock, so i think it would be fun to go to either time and see a couple of concerts.

  20. If I could travel back in time I would choose to travel to the time just before the Revolutionary War. I think that it would be interesting to view the rising tensions between the colonies and the British. Also, I think it would be interesting to observe the "American spirit" of the time being built. Everything from Paul Revere's ride to the Boston Tea Party sounds extremely interesting and it would be more interesting to witness it first hand. Of course I would leave before the war started.

If I could go back in time to any time period, I'd pick the era of World War II. War fascinates me, and I would love to learn more about the greatest war in American history. I would love to see American troops storming up the beach on D-day, or watch paratroopers chute into enemy territory. It would be a dream come true for me to see firsthand and experience the gritty intensity of 1940's warfare.

including me. She is classy, beautiful and UHHHHHMAZING!!!!! I would want to meet Michael Jackson because he is the King of Pop. He influenced America and the music that I love so much. He was so many things, be it good or bad. He still is AWESOME to me!

  23. If I could go back to any time period in American history, it would be the time of the
Louisiana Purchase of 1803 because then I could venture out into the midwest and see all the sights, such as the Great Plains. I could be one of the first people in the world to ever explore westward in America and buy land for what would today be very inexpensive. It would also be really cool to witness the expansion and formation of the States of our country.

  24. I would want to meet Craig Kielburger, founder of Free the Children. Twice I have had the opportunity to hear him speak, once when I was in the audience of the Oprah Winfrey show and once in New Orleans at the National Youth Gathering. Both experiences were inspirational, and the second was life-changing. I would love to speak with him in person. Second, I would be thrilled to meet Anne Rice, one of my favorite authors, who has greatly influenced my own writing. Third, it would be awesome to meet Obama and discuss politics and ideas.

  25. If I could go back in time to any time period in American History I would go back to the 1770's to learn more about how our country gained its Independence. I would like to learn about the founding father's original intentions for the USA and if they were carried out as they intended. Also I would like to experience what colonial life was like during the Revolutionary War. Although the living conditions would be awful I would like the chance to attend famous events that shaped our country.

  26. If I could go back to any time period in amrrrrican history, I would go back to the 1990's and relive my childhood. I'd spend hours watching my favorite old tv shows, meeting my younger friends, and just remembering what was cool back then. It'd be also nice to just see the drastic difference between the technology, beliefs, and cultures back then and now. Additionally, things were generally cheaper back then and the economy wasn't taking a pitfall. Basically, life back then would be easier and more enjoyable.
